Is Brownish Discharge From Both Nipples Normal During Menopause?
Question: I have a slightly brown discharge from both nipples. No pain I am going through menopause and noticed it just today
Brief Answer:
It is normal in most cases around menopause.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
You are having brownish discharge from both nipples.
I would like to tell you that many women can squeeze a tiny amount of discharge from their nipples around menopause due to hormonal changes in body. This is perfectly normal.
I would have been worried If discharge would have been bloody, spontaneous (happens without squeezing your nipples), persistent, one-sided and associated with breast-lump and pain.
However, I would still suggest you to get examined physically by a OBGYN if the discharge is persisting and increases.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Take care.
Regards.
