Brief Answer: Angiogram not required if he has no symptoms Detailed Answer: Hi there, Thanks for your query. Doppler study is structurally and functionally NORMAL. Both : hypertension with co-existing diabetes are potent risk factors for developing coronary artery disease. However, Coronary angiogram is NOT required at this stage IF your brother has no symptoms suggestive of heart disease, such as, breathlessness/heaviness or chest pain on exertion; and is able to perform routine work without any problems. If your brother has ANY of the above-mentioned symptoms, then you SHOULD get coronary angiogram done. Hope I have addressed to your concerns to your complete satisfaction and you find my response helpful and informative. I will be happy to answer further queries, if any. Fond regards and have a nice day, Dr. Rakesh Karanwal
