Is Flying Safe After Slight Overdosage Of Xarelto?

Question: I take xarelto 20 mg every morning. I accidentally took an extra xarelto a few minutes ago while packing and arranging meds for a trip tomorrow at noon. I will be flying from Florida to NY tomorrow. Is there any danger in flying or a problem with 20 mg this morning and 20 mg at 11:30 tonight?
Should I skip tomorrow morning dose?
Should I skip tomorrow morning dose?
Brief Answer:
No need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX welcome to healthcare magic forum.
I am Dr Aslam here to help you.
Xarelto contains rivaroxaban,a drug that prevents unnecessary blood clotting.
40 mg a day is not a dangerously high dose. You can have a flight. But,keep your blood pressure in normal limits,Avoid forceful sneezing, and avoid gastric irritant drugs like NSAIDs(analgesics) for 2 days.
And,if I was your treating doctor,I will advice you to make tomorrow morning dose 10 mg(half the usual),and continue regular schedule afterwards.
Be careful to avoid future mishaps.
Hope I have cleared your query. If you have questions,I will be happy to help.
Take care,Thank you.
