Is Grade 1 Fatty Liver With Bulky Pancreas A Serious Condition?

Abstinence from drinking is the key
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understanding your concerns. Let me mention (probably you already know it) that alcohol has a damaging effect on your liver and that the pain that you are suffering is actually the liver crying out in pain. The swollen liver (hepatomegaly = enlarged liver) is actually similar to the swelling you get on your face after a severe blow on the face. You may apply medicines on your face but unless you stop the blows, the condition is not going to get any better. By continuing to drink you continue the blows. The choice is yours. If you do not abstain, it is perhaps better to stop any medication as it would just give you no more than a false satisfaction of well-being.
I find the condition to be a warning sign saying 'stop drinking, or stop living'. Its upon you to decide which way to take. In case you decide to stop drinking (entirely), get the help of rehab.
Regards

Thanks for answering this in such a simplistic yet effective manner, the doctors i have seen are simply advised me to take medicine and none said anything related to quitting alcohol, though i insisted with them and told about my drinking habit.
i have decided to quit as suggested by you, just wanted to know from you that post abstinence i will be all right or already my condition has reached an irreversible damage stage and if there is an immediate life threatening condition with me.
As you have mentioned below -
"I find the condition to be a warning sign saying 'stop drinking, or stop living'. Its upon you to decide which way to take. In case you decide to stop drinking
(entirely), get the help of rehab."
You have taken the right step.
Detailed Answer:
It is great to know that you have decided to give up drinking. It is not a matter of immediate life risk but the ultimate outcome is predictable anyway. I appreciate your gesture. Rehab people would be able to ensure that you do not suffer from withdrawal symptoms. Had you not quit drinking, the condition of the liver would have continued to worsen till it reaches a point of no return. In about one and a half months the condition of your liver would start improving.
Wish you all the best.
Regards
