Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-Grouped Calcification in Right Breast/ Under Evaluation

Hi,Dear, thanks for your query to HCM.

Reviewed your health concerns in context to your query facts and medications tried.

I can understand your concerns for the grouped calcifications.

As you dont have prima facie complaints in the breast, except the grouped increasing calcification in your right breast,You need to be concerned with this calcification. 15-30 % of Such calcified breast cases, could be due to Cancer of Breast.

I would suggest FNAC biopsy to rule out this risk of being in 15-30 % lot of patients.
Review the Mammography after 3 mths with repeat FNAC Biopsy each time to reduce the risk of any cancer developing at the earliest.

Sleeping on this report, being benign would risk missing 15-30 % lot case at early stage diagnosis.
Still, I would suggest you to take a Second opinion in this scenario and take a call at your end to go for or not to,at earliest.

A physical examination from Breast Surgeon would reduce your dilemma and anxiety related with it.
Just relying on the advice from a radiologist would be risky proposition at your age.
Physical findings of your case would lead the right way out in your case along with this report of the Mammography.

There is a group of very fine punctate calcifications without an associated added density. What does that tell you? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
For your age,FNAC biopsy and Breast Surgeons opinion would resolve this

Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-For your age,FNAC biopsy and Breast Surgeons opinion would resolve this dileamma at your end.

Hi,Dear,Thanks for the updated query.
Group of very fine punctate calcifications without added density cant rule out the possibility of this mammogram converting at a later date after 3/6 mths in to DCIS microcalcification of rods and branching pattern.Hence not to miss this chance of In Situ Carcinoma in ductal(DCIS) or lobular (LCIS) breast areas,I would prefer FNAC biopsy after clinical assessment with physical examination at your age of 59 yrs-which is a high risk group age.
All these microcalcifications described- suggests possibility of In Situ Carcinomas or Atypical Hyperplasia in duct or lobules of the breast, which are pre-cancerous risks groups to be screened ,so as to detect the Cancer in breast at an earlier stage.

Hope this reply would help you to reduce your worries and health concerns and would help you to take right decision at the earliest time.
