Question: Is it dangerous to have sex while using Monistat? I read that it can cause infection. Is this true?

Thanks For The Query To Hcm,
If you Have Been Using Monistat already for vaginal candidiasis then intercourse during that time would expose your partner to contraction of fungal infection if the sex is unprotected or may happen vice versa , where you may have contracted infection from your partner who has not been treated simultaneously and then if sex happens in the mid course of therapy then he can re-infect you with fungus and even after completion of monistat course, your infection may still be persistent as fungal spores persisted in vagina after fresh sexual intimacy.
Hence it is always suggested that intercourse should be avoided till completion of treatment which is invariably in favour of both the partners.
