Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Glucosamine sulphate is not known to produce any interactions with clarithromycin. You can safely combine the two drugs without worrying.
Be careful to take glucosamine after meals as it might precipitate increased gastric acidity. Do not take glucosamine if you are allergic to shellfish.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

Hello.

Thanks for writing again.

Kalms is a herbal preparation to induce sleep. You can combine it with clarithromycin. There is no literature available which suggests any interactions between these two.
Kalms and Rhodiola both show subjective variations in their efficacy. It is difficult to predict which one out of the two will work best for you.

You have problem in sleep onset. Some simple lifestyle changes might help your problem like-
1. Practice relaxation exercises like yoga, breathing exercises.
2. Take the milk of XXXXXXX seeds at night before going to bed.
3. Indulge yourself in mild exercise during the day.
4. Stick to a regular sleeping schedule.
5. Try hot foot bath before going to sleep.
6. Decrease intake of tea and coffee specially do not take caffeine after 4.00 PM

Hope my answer is helpful. Write back if you have further queries.

Wishing you a trouble free speedy recovery.

Hello.

Nice to hear from you again.

You can easily prepare XXXXXXX seed milk at home. Soak 10 grams of XXXXXXX seeds in milk for 4-5 hours and then make a paste. Boil it. You can add sugar or extra milk according to your taste.

Osteoarthritis definitely restricts your movements but exercise is actually good for your joints. For the pain you can get adequate treatment from your orthopedician including pain killers, calcium and lubricating agents.

Using Day tablets of Kalm are not going to help your insomnia.

I sincerely believe that some prescription medicines can make your quality of life better.

Do consult your Take care.

Hi So You Say Taking DAY Kalms Interups My Nights Sleep
You Say Insomnia
But I Dont Think I Have That
Would St Johns Wort Be A Better Alternative
& Is It TRrue That Taking Antibiotics Make You Feel Worse Before Better
I Am On My 3rd Day Of Clarithromycin

Hello.
Thanks for writing back.

Insomnia means inability to get adequate sleep. You have difficulty in falling asleep.

St. John's wort is basically an Antidepressant. It helps in improving sleep upto some extent, but how much will it help in your case cannot be predicted in advance.

Taking antibiotics initially produce their side effects making you feel worse and their anti bacterial effect is seen after you have taken three to four doses after which your symptoms start improving.

Since you are on your third day of Clarithromycin, you will now start feeling better.

Hope, this solves your doubt. Wish you healthy life.

Regards.

Is it safe to take St Johns Wort
With The Following
"Clarithromycin
&
"Fluconazole

And what the best time to Take St Johns Wort ie, Evening ?

Thank You
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Rakhi Tayal (3 hours later)
Hello and thanks again,

St. John's wort is a known hepatic enzyme inducer. It interacts with both fluconazole and clarithromycin.

I do not suggest you to combine the two drugs as it may render both fluconazole and clarithroimycin ineffective.

Hope this helps.
