Brief Answer:
Better to give lactose based formula unless contraindicated

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on healthcaremagic platform

Soy based formula (lactone free formula)like Isomil should be given for long term only if lactogen containing formula is contraindicated (lactose intolerance,Galactosemia etc).
According to some studies Soy based formula contains phytoestrogen which when given for very long duration may cause some hormonal disturbances.
I would like to know, why you were giving the soy based formula.
So I would suggest you to give lactose based formula like lactogen unless it is medically contraindicated.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Regards
