When there is liver dysfunction, liver may start overproducing bile, blood reports may show
elevated liver enzymes (high AST or ALT), liver may get enlarged (
hepatomegaly) and scarred (
cirrhosis). Symptoms may cause you to bloat, your appetite will get decreased, you will feel
fatigue & weakness,
abdominal pain and swelling, dark urine, etc.
To detox your liver you should reduce stress and take rest between work, reduce your sugar intake, take lean meat avoid red meat, take more of liver cleansing food( citrus fruits, lentils, carrot and beet juice, sugarcane juice, papayas, etc. Avoid spicy, oily food,
trans fat, cheese, full fat milk, refined flour, salty food, addictions if any. Do not take alcohol, cut on
protein shakes to reduce your liver load, do not over eat. Eat only the amount your body requires so that your liver gets healed.
Take boiled food or food cooked in olive oil. Take adequate sleep. You can take liver tonics & digestives to tone up your liver. Get clinically examined and get imaging tests & liver function tests done to detect any liver malfunction and enlargement (hepatomegaly). Get treated at the earliest.
