Is It Advisable To Undergo D&C After Hydroablation For Heavy Periods?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Apr 2015
Question: I had hydroablation for heavy periods about 15 years ago. My friend also had this done. Her doctor said she now should have a D&C- I asked my GP if I should have that done- she didn't think I needed to. When is a D&C indicated?

Brief Answer:
D and C not required

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concerns about need of D and C.

D and C is indicated only if there is increased endometrial thickness or increased bleeding.

In your case there is absolutely no need of D and C.

Dont worry about it.

Let me know if you need any more clarifications.

D&C needed if bleeding is frequent

Detailed Answer:
Hi

If periods are every 8 days you need D&C. It is to check if endometrium has any problem.
