Is It Normal To Experience Heavy Bleeding After Radiation Treatment For Uterine Cancer?

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Apr 2015
Question: I have just had two treatments of radiation for uterine cancer. Prior to this I have been bleeding steadily, but not heavily for 6 months. This morning I awoke with heavier than normal bleeding (though it has slacked off now), and very dizzy. Is this normal?

Brief Answer:
Go to ER immediately

Detailed Answer:
hi,

No this is not normal.

There should not be any bleeding post radiation.

Also since you are feeling dizzy please go to the emergency room immediately as

there is a possibility that you have lost high amounts of blood.

Please get your hemoglobin levels checked there.

Also please drink lots of water and electrolytes while you go to ER as you will feel less dizzy.
