Is It Possible To Get Possible Without Vaginal Intercourse?
Yes, menstrual irregularity might be expected.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
You have no need to worry about a pregnancy for various reasons ( no vaginal intercourse, taking pills regularly, taken Plan B as a backup ).
However yes, it is likely that you have messed up your cycle.
The Plan B will in all probability cause some kind of withdrawal bleeding in a few days, and again it might not.
It would alter ( prepone or postpone ) the expected date of your next period, and then it might not.
The effects vary from woman to woman.
Apart from some irregular bleeding and an altered next period, there is nothing to be afraid of.
You can help by taking your birth control regularly on time, without missing a pill, irrespective of the spotting or bleeding.
The cycles would be reset in the coming month.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
As I said my period is due in the next couple of days, as I am on the second day of my sugar pills, so it has been about 3 weeks since I took plan b.
I have not had any bleeding during this time and my only symptoms has been slight lower abdominal/back pain, a little worse acne, and just this last week more normal PMS cramping and tenderness of my breasts.
This is all normal correct? Also, I should continue with my birth control regimen and start my new pack next week, even if my period has not come, correct?
Many thanks.
Yes, you are right.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the appreciation.
Yes, you are absolutely right in your understanding.
You should start your new pack next week, even if you have not bled by then.
The plan B can alter your date of expected period, but it should stabilize in a month or two.
Take care.
