Is It Safe To Take Aspirin Along With Amlodipine And Nurofen?
What would be your reply if I used Tylex 30mg (say weekly or forthnightly) instead of the Nurofen Plus? While such usage may not be recommended, but is it a danger to my health?
There is nothing specific to be too worried about at this time!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I have reviewed your medications fully. But for aspirin and amlodipine that may result in a higher blood pressure when taken together, there are no other interactions. This requires that your blood pressure be monitored closely to make sure you are not having unnecessarily elevated blood pressures. If this be the case, your drugs would be adjusted to address this. Also, if you were to discontinue aspirin spontaneously, it might lead to a sharp drop in blood pressure that would require close monitoring.
Atorvastatin is known for causing muscle pain. Beyond that, there is nothing much to be afraid of.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
I then sent a follow up question, with exactly the same meaning, but suggesting I take Tylex 30mg instead of the Nurofen Plus. That is once a week or every two weeks. Please answer these two questions again. If you don't, please refund €18.00
I have no further follow up questions. Please give me a clear answer to the two specific questions which I have asked about Nurofen Plus and Tylex 30mg. Nothing more than that, please.
Sorry. I have nothing else.
Nurofen or Tylex are both safe to take with your medications!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this follow up precision.
Seems I never understood the exact information you were requesting. I think I have understood your worries to be sure let me restate it : You wish to know whether addend Tylex(paracetamol/codeine) or Nurofen(Ibuprofen and codeine) to your current medication is safe?
I have reviewed possible interactions between your medications and these new drugs. I would choose tylex over Nurofen plus for the following reason. Nurofen and aspirin together can cause gastric problems. This would not happen if Tylex is used.
Apart from the above reason, there is no other feared interaction between these drugs and all the other medications you are already taking.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Your satisfaction is our main goal and not finances. If we fail to understand your question, I will always want to listen more and get it correct. If you still feel there is some information that you are interested in that is not provided, feel free to ask me and I would gladly respond to.
I wish you well.
