Brief Answer:
Not at all - Avoid all Expired Medications

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
It is not at all safe to take Clarithromycin or any drug after the expiry date not only because it looses its efficacy but also it can become hazardous as every drug contains a preservative that has its self life. After the self life, that preservative if taken can harm you.
So, I would advise you not to use expired medicines.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
