Is It Safe To Take Omega 3 And 5HTP While Taking Champix 1mg? How To Take The Medicine?

Question: Hi would taking a combination of both omega 3 and 5HTP be ok or should just one or the other be taken, also is it safe to be taking while taking Champix 1mg to try and quit smoking? Thankyou XXXXXXX

There is some evidence that 5-HTP might be about as effective as some prescription drugs for depression.So if you are taking it for depression then you must consult your doctor for this.
5-HTP increases a brain chemical called serotonin. Some medications for depression also increase serotonin. Taking 5-HTP along with these medications for depression might increase serotonin too much and cause serious side effects including heart problems, shivering, and anxiety. Do not take 5-HTP if you are taking medications for depression.
There is no problem taking omega 3 along with 5 HTP.
Although champix as many side effects and interactions with various medicines,however 5 HTP doesn't figure in that list
Do consult your doctor before taking any medicine or combination of medicine.
