Question: I am having surgery for gall bladder removal tomorrow at 9 am. I didn't think about it but I drank 4 beers this afternoon and 1 at around 7 pm. Is that ok?

Brief Answer:
consult your anesthetist and Surgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Having 5 beers a day prior to the gall bladder surgery may be point of concern.

I think you should talk to your Surgeon and anesthetist beforehand.
If you are habitual, there may not be a problem. Otherwise it may create a problem for anesthesia.

If both the Doctors agree surgery may be performed. Otherwise you will need to have a rescheduled appointment.

I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for further relevant query if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
