Is It Safe To Use Baby Oil As Lubricant When Trying To Conceive?
Baby oil may be safe for conceiving.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
The best natural lubricant is foreplay. Engaging in foreplay for longer time may help.
If it does not help, try using warm water. It has no detrimental effect on sperms.
Baby oil also is found to be safe. In studies conducted baby oil had no negative effect on sperms. But use the non scented baby oil. Quality control of baby oil ingredients may be difficult.
You may also try using sperm friendly lubricants available in the market like Preseed or conceive Plus. They have no detrimental effect on sperms. So I advise you to use PreSeed.
I hope this helps.

Estrogen 115
LH 1.7
FSH 5.6
My GP says LH is too low what can I do about it and can I conceive naturally?
Husband semen analysis has come back morphology 5% which has been reported as normal is this good to conceive please?
The LH level is okay.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
The LH level is okay. Not very low. You have not provided information about regularity of menstrual cycles and serum progesterone levels. These are very important.
Morphology of 5% is low normal. Obviously higher the normal morphology better the chances of conception. What about the concentration and motility? These are very important factors. If they are not normal you need to consult infertility specialist.
How long have you been trying for pregnancy? If you have been trying for conception for more than 6 months, you need to consult infertility specialist.
To increase your chances of conception you both should maintain normal BMI, quit smoking ( if you're a smoker) and have intercourse at least three times in a week.
Take one tablet of folic acid daily.

You need medicines to induce ovulation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
The irregular cycles and low progesterone level suggest you are not ovulating regularly. You need medications to induce ovulation. Do consult your doctor for the same.
I hope this helps.

Discuss with your doctor and have HyCoSy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
The alternatives to HSG are:
1. HyCoSy (HysterosalpingoContrast Sonography)—This is an outpatient ultrasound procedure done during 7-11 days of menstrual cycle. This procedure allows for the assessment of uterine cavity and patency of fallopian tubes. Under ultrasound guidance first sterile saline is injected through catheter into the uterus to assess the uterine cavity. Then Iodine free contrast is injected to assess for the patency of tubes.
2. Hysteroscopy and Laparosccopy with XXXXXXX test. But this is operative procedure done under general anaesthesia.
Discuss with your doctor and have HyCoSy.
I hope this helps.
If you have any further queries do write to me.
I wish you good luck.
With best wishes,
Dr Ramadevi Wani
