Is Lower Back Discomfort Is One Of The Side Effect Of Taking Flomax?
Question: I have used Flomax for 6 years for urinary flow issues. Are there any studies out there that show that one side effect of Flomax might be lower back discomfort? I have i have a gravelly, gritty, burning feeling in my waist=line, right in the middle of my back. I had a herniated disc problem in 1991 which required surgery. The bottom 3 discs were removed and the vertebrae was fused. Have had absolutely no issues with back until the last year when it was a little slow to straighten up when I stood up. Now the stiffness has gone, but the burning feeling in waistline is now apparent. My doctor prescribed Prednisone last week for a 7-day period and talked about possibly doing an MRI. My wife was the person who told me about a friend who had to stop using Flomax because of the lower back issues. Any thoughts?
