Is Mammography The Right Treatment For Pain In Left Breast?
Question: I have had two different biopsis on left breast in passed four years. Now having pain in left breast and bladder pain also. My urology's sent me for a CT they have found nodule on my left lung, there not very big. 5 mm and 4 mm, small lower pole right renal cortical cyst 1 cm. My left shoulder has been hurter a lot also. A lot of joint pain also. the paper say left colon diverticulosis with small left basilar pulmonary nodules. I do have an apt for a mannogram tomorrow. is there anything I should ask?

Mammography is rightly advised as a routine follow up scan and pain in left breast.It is necessary due to history of breast biopsy.There may be suspicious lesion in previous scans which need follow up.It is necessary to see any progression in lesions.You can ask for any improvement or deterioration in breast lesions.
Small lung nodules may be due to many reasons.It also need follow up imaging.Most likely these are benign lesions.
For colon diverticulosis,you should take lot of fibres and fluid in your diet.Try to have a fixed time for bowel clearance.Do some exercise every day.These factors may help in reducing the formation of new pouches (diverticula) and lower the risk for diverticulitis.
Small renal cortical cyst is generally a benign finding.
