Is Neuropathy Related To Ringing In Ears?
Question: Throughout the years I've been told I'm having neuropathy (electric like pains running up my legs and side of face) and a few times I've heard the term neuritis. Can some people be predisposed to have this, or is there a condition that I should be looking at? I've had optic neuritis (which was very scary) and I've gotten neuritis after injuries (and surgeries).
Also, is there any way this could be related to ringing in my ears?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. I have just answered your other question and I came across this one.
2. It is highly unlikely that an auditory nerve neuritis would present only as tinnitus. It would be accompanied by a sensorineural hearing loss, dizziness, vertigo and possibly facial nerve palsy as these to nerves are closely related.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
