Is Physiotherapy Effective In Relieving Severe Neck Pain?

default
Posted on Fri, 8 Jul 2016
Question: Thanks Dr XXXXXXX for your kind message that you have sent me today.

I'm now on:
-EUCAL Herbal massage cream on my XXXXXXX twice a day.
-Myofen once a day (finished 12 days)
-Osteocare (Calcium and other vitamins) once daily
-Vitamin D 10,000 IU twice weekly.
- Got a new external monitor for the laptop. It's 21 inch movable so that I can keep my XXXXXXX up while working for long hours.

My plan is to finish Myofen and EUCAL (after 8 days) and start physiotherapy on the XXXXXXX while keep taking the Calcium and vitamin D.

I'm feeling better somehow now as the pain started to subside from the XXXXXXX and the headache is by far less than before.

Please let me know what do you think and your advice on the above course.

Thanks again for checking up on me today, it was nice to hear from you.

Brief Answer:
Starting physiotherapy will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are taking the right medicines. It is best to start with physiotherapy once the pain in the neck subsides. After the pain subsides you can stop taking Myofen and can take a mild pain killer like Ibuprofen on as and when needed basis. Cervical isometric exercises will help you.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

1. Do you mean that I need to start the physiotherapy right away although the pain has not completely subsided?

2. Should I stop Myofen now and take ibuprofen on sos or continue Myofen as I planned for another 8 days?

3. Should I stop EUCAL as well?
