Is Pregnancy Possible After A Vasectomy?

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Oct 2015
Question: I had a vasectomy in 2004. I went two years ago and had my semen tested. There was a zero sperm count. A woman told me she was pregnant with my child today. I went to the lab and had another sample tested. The sperm count was again zero. Is there any way I could have gotten her pregnant

Brief Answer:
It is not possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I went through your question and understand your concern.

As you might have been informed vasectomy is a procedure for permanent sterilization. BUT, there are several reports stating that late failures are possible with low possibility of recanalization.

The percentage varies, but generally are lower than 1%, which does not fit in your case, since there is no sperm in your semen, confirming that there is no recanalization.

So the answer is absolutely not possible.

Hope this helps. Greetings
