Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill?

Question: I had unprotected sex on 9th December..I took I -pill..within 2 hrs of intercourse .My period was expected to be in next 2-3 days....now it hasn't came till 12th December...is it a matter of concern?am I pregnant?? When will I have my periods??? Please solve my query...thanking you

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If you have taken i pill on 9 th December, then the withdrawal bleeding will occur in next 5-10 days.
Intake of i pill disrupts the normal menstrual cycle due to hormonal effect of its content levonorgestrel.It delays the next expected periods by 2-3 weeks.
Moreover, since you had intercourse in immediate premenstrual phase, the chances of pregnancy are almost nil, as it is considered safe period for intercourse.
I suggest you not to worry and wait for next 5-7 days for the withdrawal bleeding to occur.
