Is Pregnancy Possible Post Tubal Ligation?
Look for any evidence of infection
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXX,
I hope I have spelt your name correctly; if not please correct me.
You have undergone bilateral tubal ligation, you have undergone endometrial ablation; moreover you have been told that you are not pregnant. So there is no question of initiation of labour signs. One can consider that the tubal ligation could have failed; however, you do not have endometrium in your uterus for implantation of the fertilized ovum. So I feel you should exclude the possibility of pregnancy and labour.
Mucoid discharge per vaginum with lot of watery discharge and pain in the abdomen could be the symptoms of some infection inside the uterus. Please get the mucous and the vaginal discharge examined in the laboratory for any evidence of infection. Submitting these secretions for culture and sensitivity will give evidence of any infection if present.
Ultrasonography also will find visual evidence of any pathology in the uterus and abdomen.
Please upload the reports and images of these investigations for my review.
For any more information and advice, I am always available for you, XXXXX.
