Is Pregnancy Possible Through Intercourse After A Tubal Ligation?
Question: what are the chances of becoming pregnant even after family planning operation of my wife . the family planning operation was done in the time of cygerian opereation after our second child which is way back of almost 5 years.we didnt have sex for the last 5 years but from the last month we are very frequently participating. so are there any chances of pregnency as her date of missed period is late by 10 days.
Brief Answer:
Delayed periods
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
Your wife has undergone tubal ligation during cesarean
operation 5 years back and you both never had sex for 5 years.
Is her periods regular.?
Have you tested her urine for pregnancy.?
If not get a urine pregnancy test at the earliest. cards are available in medical shops.
There is very less chance of pregnancy as the failure rate of tubal ligation or partial salpingectomy is very less around 1 to 2.5 %.
Since you both never had sex before, I suggest you to get the urine test.If positive consult a gynaecologist and confirm it as intrauterine pregnancy.
If the test is negative you can wait for one more week for the periods.
Hope you are convinced. Regards
