Is Receiving MMR Vaccine Twice Harmful?
Question: Hello.
I have no proof that i had MMR or chicken pox vacine when i was young. I am now 39 years old.
Would it be harmful to go ahead and have MMR and chicken pox vacines now?
What if i did have them done when i was young? would having them twice have any risk?

Brief Answer:
Hi welcome to HCM, the best course for you
Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to HCM, the best course for you is to get your blood titres for both done. All vaccines can have side effects especially MMR which can give you neurological (rare) complications, and Chicken pox vaccine can give you mild to moderate attack of chicken pox. Once you have done the titres(blood levels) you will know clearly if vaccination is required. MMR is especially advised in those patients not vaccinated but likely to get pregnant. (I do not know your age or sex).
Hope this helps. Regards
