Question: Hi i was 4weeks 1days pregnant. Took mifepristone 200mg on first day after my missed period and then after 46hours took 800mcg of misoprostol. Cramping started after 2hours and bleedung after 5hours but very light scanty bleeding. No cramping now. Bleeding is there but light. Did the abortion happened? What should i do?
Brief Answer:
Repeat dose of misoprostol should be given
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Scanty flow after misoprostol do not indicates that the abortion has completed.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist and get a repeat dose of misoprostol to complete the abortion process.

Thank u mam for the reply. I got an usg done 1day after i took misoprostol and scan came normal. No pregnancy. Endometrial thickness 7mm. Ovaries normal. Worried as to how my usg came normal but urine pregnancy test was positive. Took misoprostol400mcg again after 24hours of the last dose of mmisoprostol that is day 4 after taking mifepristone . Bleeding started from day4 after taking mifepristone . At present day 7 and only spotting is there. Do i need to repeat scan after 14days? And when can i start taking ocps?
Brief Answer:
No need of repeating the ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
If the uterine cavity is empty with normal endometrial thickness, then there is no need of repeating the ultrasound.
Oral contraceptives should be started from the first day of the next periods you have.
