Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I ma Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have understood it.
Seborrheic dermatitis is more common and more extensive or florid in those who have HIV but it certainly does'nt mean that everyone who has seborrheic dermatitis ought to have HIV. Seborrheic dermatitis is not a diagnostic sign of HIV.
Seborrheic dermatitis commonly occurs otherwise, rather commonly, in the general population

What are causes of seborraic dermatis
Brief Answer:
Seborrheic dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Etiology of seborheic dermatitis is largely unknown but it has been postulated that composition of sebum, malessezia yeast and inflammation, all play a role in development of seborrheic dermatitis.
In those who have seborrheic dermatitis, the predisposition to develop it is largely genetically determined
Seborrheic dermatitis patients have an overgrowth of yeast, malassezia furfur which may be pathogenetically related/contributes to the inflammation of seborrheic dermatitis.
The disease has a remitting and relapsing course.
