Is Surgery Advisable While Suffering From Knee Pain?

Question: Dear Doctor,
Thank you for your message.
Some knee suffering patients advised me not to to go for the surgery, and this could be repaired by physical therapy and other medical treatments. They say that the knee situation will remain the same as before surgery regarding the pain and the body balance.
Being a professional and experienced orthopedic doctor, your guidance is very important to me and I'll always seek your help. You know my case and I would like to know if the surgery is a MUST.
Best regards. XXXXXXX Alhoraibi
