Is The Penis Size Related To Obesity Requiring Testosterone Pills For Treatment?

Posted on Fri, 31 Mar 2017
Question: After I read the article about the relation between obesity and size of the penis, I decided to take the natural testosterone pills. However, I am still 19 so if I lose my weights, do I still have a chance to get a normal size penis like others and also can that natural testosterone pills can harm me. Also when I touch my XXXXXXX of the penis, it's hurt and a bit sensitive. So to get better, can I just use home remedy or is it necessary to meet with doctor.

Brief Answer:
Obesity does not affect penile size.

Detailed Answer:
Good day and thank you for being with healthcare magic!!!

The average penile size is 3.6 inches if it is flaccid and 5.16 inches erected. This is measured by pressing the fat pad at the base of the penis until you feel the bone under. That is the start of the measurement up to the tip of the penis.

Obesity would not have an effect on the size when using that method of measuring the penis. This method is called the Bone pressed erect length (BPEL). However if the fat pad in the area would be big then there will be less of the penis to be seen outside and more would be buried under the fatpad. Losing the extra weight would make the penile lenght seem more because more of the penis would be showing externally.

I would caution you in the intake of testosterone because this would alter your hormone production and might affect your physical development. I would suggest you to stop intake of any exogenous hormones. Exercise and eating properly would make all the difference in the right way.

I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily.

Brief Answer:
Sexual abstinence would be tried first.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for your follow-up question.

Tenderness of the penis maybe due to over use (frequent ejaculation) or it can be a side effect of the testosterone you are taking. My suggestion would be sexual and ejaculation abstinence for one to two weeks until the pain would go away. Tylenol or any anti inflammatory can be taken as needed to relieve the swelling and inflammation.

If the symptoms persists then I would recommend seeing a urologist locally so he may do a proper physical examination on you and come up with a proper diagnosis and management.
