Is There A Blood Test To Diagnose Shingles?

Question: Is there a blood test to diagnose shingles? I have no rash but do have the symptoms. My email is YYYY@YYYY
Brief Answer:
Serologic test for shingles
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
The most frequently employed serologic tools for assessing host response in herpes zoster infection or shingles are the immunofluorescent detection of antibodies to VZV(Varicella-zoster virus -cause of shingles ) membrane antigens, the fluorescent antibody to membrane antigen (FAMA) test, immune adherence hemagglutination, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
The FAMA test and the ELISA appear to be most sensitive.
