Is There Any Interaction Between Aricept And Escitalopram?
Am surprised about that!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is little documented reaction between these medications and has never warranted that both should not be administered together. I will suggest that you ask your pharmacist what the exact reason is as am not very sure this information is exact.
When medications cannot be dispensed together, the pharmacist has to alert the prescribing doctor so that he can change. They will figure that out and provide a better drug if something else has come up that prohibits both being administered together now.
However, this reported reason for not issuing your drugs is something new and undocumented to me.
Let me know how this turns out and whether there is something more you want us to talk on.
I have not found that but escitalopram can cause that!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Escitalopram can causes accelerated heart beat. However, I have not found where taking it with aricept would worsen that. If that is a known side effect and you have a condition that warrants you not to take it, I accept. If the increased heart rate is as a result of taking both medications together, that has not beed documented or is totally new to me.
I wish you well.
