Is There Any Treatment For Fracture Of Coccyx Bone?
Thank you for posting your query on XXXXXXX
Well looking into the history that you are giving I see that you have fracture your coccyx that is tail bone .
There is no particular guidelines for the treatment of fracture , it is generally individualised according to the fracture severity . The goal is to manage the pain until the bone heals by is own . Due to the location of the coccyx and large number of muscles attached , immobilization of coccyx is very difficult.
Steroid injections or surgery may be considered if extreme pain persists. Surgery is not successful but in rare cases coccygectomy can be undertaken . Usually pain gradually disappears but the pain lasts even after the bone is healed .
I advise you to see an orthopaedician and get yourself evaluated for the severity of fracture so that it can be tackled accordingly .
Take care.
