Is Vaginal Itching Symptomatic Of An STD?

Question: I am suffering with periodic severe itching in vagina and labia since 2 weeks now. The itching is worse in morning and night. I had to stay wet for few hours 2 weeks ago getting drenched in rain, which I assume is the cause.Have been using lactacyd/v wash and coconut oil with camphor for relief. But the itching persists and has caused bruises too. Is it a normal infection or some STD I should be worrying about? Kindly help.

Hello. thank you for writing to us.
I am Dr. Kakkar (Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and have noted your concern.
Perhaps you have developed a fungal infection.
I request you to kindly upload a few images of the affected skin in "Reports Section" so that I am able to guide you better.
Are there any visible red patches/ rings shaped lesions?
Is there any abnormal vaginal discharge?any visible sores?
Are you sexually active? and does your partner complain of any itching?

Thanks si. I am not sure about an usual vaginal discharge but the vaginal area become a little watery when it itches especially in the morning. The discharge is whitish with no unusual smell. Cleaning the area with white tissue paper shows flakes of skin too. The itch is uncontrollable which has caused broken skin around the area too. Have been using coconut oil with camphor for controlling the itch however it doeant seem to remedy it.
Have attached images for better diagnosis. I am sexually active. My partner doesnt complaint of any itching but was diagnosed with warts near finger nails for which he had just finished the treatment. r

Brief Answer:
Vaginal candidiasis
Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
You seem to have a yeast infection i.e candidal vulvovaginitis.
I suggest an oral antifungal e.g tab. fluconazole once a day for 3 days. In addition to that you may insert clotrimazole vaginal pessary every night for a week.
You may take an oral antihistamine e g tab. cetrizine once a day for symptomatic relief from itching.
Continue with vaginal expert wash. Avoid oil and camphor. Avoid sexual contact for a week.

Thankyou sir.
I have started with Fluconazole 150mg, candid v6 100mg and cetrizine 10mg. Kindly confirm if these are fine.
Also, what other care and precautions should I be taking for speedy recovery and prevention of its recurrence? Anything special I should include or exclude from my diet?

Thank you.
I would also like to cover for 'bacterial vaginosis' that is due to alteration of bacterial vaginal flora in sexualy active females and is the most common cause of vaginitis apart from candida. Therefore i suggest adding a Tab. Metronidazole 400mg, 3 times a day for 5 days
