Is Vitamin E Capsules (Evion) And Mecgla Safe Medicines For Fibroadenoma?

At the age of 17 I felt a lump in both the breasts and got it removed by operation when I was 22 years old. Back then I had done FNAC which concluded it to be fibroadenoma. 6 months back (now I am 29 years old), I again felt a lump in my right breast and again got it removed through operation. Recently after getting married, I have moved to Sydney (from India). Couple of months back I have started getting pain in the lower muscles of the right breast and also around the area where the lump was.(the pain is through out the day). I also feel my right breast a bit stiff around the area where the lump was. I was advised to take vitamin E capsules (Evion) and Mecgla if I feel any lump or pain again, but would like to know if this is very serious and if there are any side effects of these medicines. Also can you please suggest any substitute capsules - in case we are unable to find these medicines in Sydney.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Hello.
Thank you for the query.
Fibtoadenomas are benign breast tumors and the risk of cancer is very low (less than 2%). So your problem, as is diagnosed does not sound serious. The pain which you have is most likely caused by minor nerves damage due to lump removal. Nerves can heal and give pains up to a year after surgery. So if you do not palpate any lump, no need to worry. Just as a precaution breast ultrasound should be scheduled.
Supplements you have been advised to rake are nothing more than vitamins (vitamin E and B12). As this vitamins are present in regular foods, it wont cause any side effects.
In Australia Mecgla is available under name methylcobalamine and vitamin E as Etocomed for example.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I would like to know whether it's possible that the nerves would start paining even after 3 months of the operation. I mean for the first 3 months I didn't had any pain, suddenly it started after 3 months. Also I would like to know whether the medicine (Methlcobalamine) and Etocomed can help in healing the damage to the nerves or in reducing the pain.
Once again thanks for your advise.
Regards.

Yes, this is possible and happens quite often. Please note that during the surgery nerves (skin nerves, muscular nerves, small branches mostly) were cut. So the impulsation through this nerves were completely off. Now as the nerves has tendency to regenerate, and this process is really slow, it is possible that the pain starts being noticed after 3 months. Try to imagine that this nerves are quite chaotic right now and it will take some time (up to a year) to learn brain which nerves are responsible for which sensation.
But all of this is just a theory. Ultrasound should be done anyways to make sure nothing more is there.
Mentioned medicines can be beneficial in nerves regeneration process. But the reaction is very different for every person and for sure the pain wont go away suddenly. It may increase whole process. And as this are vitamins only, it is worth to try.
Regards.
