Brief Answer:
There is suppression of cardiorespiratory centre in brain
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Since both the medications act on nervous system there is complete shutdown of central nervous system leading to coma. In some cases there may be suppression of cardiorespiratory centre which may lead to death.
The progress to coma is never a comfortable journey and patient goes through very painful death.
If recovered the chances of some damage to nervous system is always there and he may be having permanent focal or diffuse neural deficit.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks again.
