Question: ABDOMEN - SINGLE VIEW:

HISTORY:
History of pelvic pain. IUD.

COMPARISON:
None.

FINDINGS:
IUD is in the lower hemipelvis to the right of midline. The exact location
is uncertain and depends on the positioning of the uterus. No bowel
obstruction is seen. No pathological calcifications. Osseous structures are
normal.

IMPRESSION:
IUD within the lower right hemipelvis, exact positioning within the uterus is
indeterminate. It was not visualized on the prior ultrasound

ULTRASOUND PELVIS TRANSVAGINAL.

HISTORY:
History of mid cycle spotting. Lost IUD.

COMPARISON:
None.

FINDINGS:
Uterus 7.7 x 5.2 x 3.5 cm with a 4 mm endometrial stripe. IUD is not
visualized.

Right ovary is 2.9 x 3.4 x 2.0 cm with two simple cysts measuring 11 x 15 x
10 mm and 11 x 11 x 8 mm. Left ovary 2.0 x 2.8 x 1.5 cm. Normal color flow
and spectral waveform to both ovaries.

IMPRESSION:
IUD is not visualized. Two simple right ovarian cysts.

had surgery and they couldnt find it it was suppose to be a 45 surgery last almost 3 hrs and could not find it

You should get MRI done to locate the IUD as your report is showing the location in lower right hemipelvis.

On ultrasound it is difficult to find it.

I have removed one IUD by localising it under C arm in Ortho opeartion theatre
