Lump On Upper Eyelid And Appears To Be A Cyst. Reason For Reoccurence? Surgery Needed?

Question: I have a lump on my upper eyelid on my left eye which appears to be a cyst on the inside of it. I had a similar one two years ago on the same eyelid and had it surgically removed. My question is what is causing this to reoccur and is the any other treatment other than surgery?

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
it appears that you are suffering from chalazion.
It is a chronic infection of glands in the eye lid.
the drainage of these glands get blocked and hence cyst is formed.
Surgical removal is the only treatment available once the cyst is formed.
however it can be prevented by using anti bacterial eye drops.
let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you
