My daughter had a chalazion removed this morning and it burst when they went in for surgery to remove it. I m not sure how it did. But it is quite a but smaller but still not gone. It looks the same but smaller, very red. How long will it take to go away??
It will heal in three to four days. You can apply topical eye ointment like tobramycin eye ointment after cleaning with soap and water. Do not rub the eyes as it will cause an infection like conjunctivitis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
