Noticed Swelling On Foot. Diagnosed With Torn Muscles. Suggest Some Cure

Back in July last year I was walking normal then my left foot gave out on me. All my toes went forward about 2 inches then the went backward about 5 inches towards my XXXXXXX My whole foot swelled up soo fast. I went to the Emergency room with my dad because after 1 and half hours of using ice off and on the swelling and pain didnt go down. We also saw/noticed it had about a size of half dollar round ball on my foot towards the ankle bone, we thought that was my bone. I had about 4 xrays taken at the emergency room.
After I had xrays, i was prescribed anti-imflamitorys and was sent home.
No pain meds, they didnt wrap it in a brace or anything.
The nurse said I had "torn muscles".
Since then I have seen my regular doctor, She doesnt know whats going on since i am in pain throught the day, swelling comes back but worse then when i first hurt it,my foot and toes turn black and blue.
She put in a order to see a Foot Doctor, I saw him and all he can say is rest. He asked me where does it hurt, i show him and he disrespects me and says.. "well according to the xray thats a lie and should be somewhere else XXXXXXX
He hasnt contacted me since. I contact him numerous times.
I'm soooo worried about my foot because I cant even stand or wear shoes for very long then The huge bump comes back along with pain and numbness.
I am a full time Performing Arts student.I dance, sing, yoga, plays and I am sick of being in pain and that my foot isnt normal.
Thank you for the query.
With the X-ray there are only bones visible. So only bones fractures or displacements can be found. So I assume you have no fractures.
According to your symptoms, you probably are suffering from soft tissues heamatoma of your foot. It takes some space so it squeezes other tissues like muscles and vessels what leads to tissues ischemia and necrosis. Such tissue-compressing hematoma should be cut and drained by a surgeon to prevent tissues ischeamia.
If such hematoma is left without surgery, it can become an abscess and lead to whole body inflammation what is a life treating conditions.
So you should see a surgeon and have an ultrasound of your foot soft tissues.
There is also a possibility that what you are suffering from is venous thrombosis. It can be caused by trauma, or by a hematoma as well. This one is also life-treating condition. And here again surgeons advice is necessary and Doppler ultrasound to rule it out.
So in conclusion, you may suffer from your foot hematoma, veins thrombosis or both. You should see surgeon and he should decide what should be done first, soft tissues ultrasound or Doppler ultrasound. According to this tests result, proper treatment should be a remedy.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Thank you for the query.
Yes, for sure your regular doctor should take a look closer to it. He should lead you to the specialist. You should also have ultrasound of this area - it will tell what are you dealing with for sure and its the best way to rule out conditions I have mentioned before.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.

Thank you for the query.
Of course you can show this conversation to your doctor.
It`s hard to advice you a ankle brace as you did not mention if you have any ultrasound of the foot we were talking about, and if any doctor took a look at it?
Such ankle brace might be helpful if there are some muscles pains caused by trauma. In foot swelling it wont be a remedy.
Hope this will help.
Regards

You welcome. By the way, Doppler ultrasound should be performed as well. MRI wont tell about thrombosis.

I need a ankle brace for dance class or walking because hurts soo bad
Thank you for the query.
Can you please attach X-rays or MRI or ultrasound results and your foot picture. I do not know how does it look right know, what has changed and what are the tests results so it is very hard to help you from here.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
