Hello,

You fell about 3 weeks ago and sprained your left and right knee, ankle. Your right knee cap is swollen and feels tight. You are unable to fold it and without the brace you feel unstable and dangly. Kneecap swelling after injury commonly occurs due to accumulation of fluid in the bursa, a fluid filled sac in the knee. Tightness that you are experiencing is caused due to swelling. Keep it under rest but try to move the knee for a while, so that pain and stiffness may reduce. You can take NSAIDS, one SOS when needed.

Since the knee feels weak and you are unable to stand up on your legs comfortably it can be due to meniscus tear, ligament tear that causes the knee cap to swell up. The swelling causes intense pain and instability to stand or move your leg. It can also be due to fracture. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an Orthopedics, get X-ray, CT / MRI done to detect the pathology causing you symptoms. You will be treated accordingly. Stay at rest. Get treated at the earliest. If needed you should wear the brace so that your affected leg gets rest and support. do not overuse it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

I can not determine if this is meniscus or ACL based your symptoms. But I recommend performing a knee MRI in order to determine the right diagnosis and the best treatment options. Physiotherapy may be needed too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
