Question: Hi doctor my mother had pain in stomach and was taken to a doctor. In the scan report the impression was -endometrium is 22mm and mild hepatomegaly with fatty changes. What does this mean and what are the potential risk. She underwent two operations during which the fallopian tubes was removed one after other in a five years gap. She is now 43 years old and this operations was done 10-11 years back. Please help
Hello,
You have mentioned that the endometrium is 22mm by scan. Also in the medical history, you state that the uterus was removed.
When the uterus was removed? And what is the histo-pathology report? This will tell us what pathology was there in the uterus, because the endometrium is 22mm.
Your mother has pain in stomach, to know the cause of pain we should understand the pathology in the uterus and fallopian tubes, also she may need CT scan or MRI to rule out intra abdominal adhesions etc.
Please get back to me with complete details.
Good luck
