my wife is 33 weeks pregnant and has chest pain and some numbness in left arm. has taken zantac 150mg twice today, still hurts. this is second pregnancy and doesn't remember this happening the first time.
Thanks for posting your query.
The chest pain in pregnancy associated with numbness in the arm could be related to a muscular pain. The numbness of the arm is commonly seen due to decreased levels of vitamin B complex.
The other causes of having a chest pain can be gastritis, lung infections- bacterial or viral or cardiac causes.
She can start taking a mild pain killer like acetaminophen and continue with Zantac. In case the pain persists, then a direct physical evaluation and investigations are required.
She can also get Vitamin B complex supplements prescribed from her gynecologist.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
