Reason For Headache And Numbness When Sneezing, Coughing Or Bending? MRI Normal
Hi,
While it is very difficult to say exactly what the cause of your headaches are, the symptoms you report could sometimes occur in a condition called Chiari malformation. Here, the back portion of the brain herniates into the spinal canal causing the symptoms or cough headache etc. An MRI including the cranio cervical junction will help to rule this out. You already have had an MRI and I would be interested to know if the Upper portion of the spinal cord has also been included in the study.
In case it has been done and Chiari malformation is ruled out, it could be one of the many causes for chronic headaches and a consultation with a neurosis specialising in headaches would be advisable.
Hope this helps?
