Rhinoplasty Scheduled. Will The Blood Tests For Infection Reveal Drugs?
Question: Hey. I have a rhinoplasty scheduled on thursday and i must go in for blood tests tomorrow. The blood tests look for infection and blood cell count, but do they look for drugs?
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query.
No, they do not look for drugs.
Typically preoperative investigations are aimed to find out any infective focus in your body as you already know and your fitness to undergo any surgery. The profile of investigation differs from grade of surgery.
Still none of them includes detection of drugs.
I hope this helps and clarify your concern.
