Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic.
These two symptoms are unlikely to be related.
The groin pain may indicate a muscle strain or an inguinal hernia. The sore throat is likely to be a viral doctor for the hernia. There may sometimes be a small swelling but abscence of a swelling does not exclude a hernia. Treatment would be an operation to repair it. If it proves to be a muscle strain then rest would be appropriate.
For your sore throat, I would suggest paracetamol.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the further question.
On the basis of the information you have given me these symptoms do not fit with a diagnosis of an STD. However, if you are concerned about an STD, I would suggest a visit to your doctor for an examination and tests.
