It is likely that it is related to the large food intake.
Presyncope is what can happens before a syncopal (fainting episode). It does not necessary progress to syncope.
It can be cause dizziness.
In syncope or presyncope , there is a type called situational syncope. This occurs in certain situations including after eating.
There is a type of situational syncope called swallow syncope. In this case the symptoms are caused by using a lot of food or drinking cold beverages.
It is due to disturbance of the normal reflexes.These disturbed reflexes can sometimes result in abnormal rhythm of the heart.
The abnormal rhythm would then cause the dizziness sensation and the feeling of being overheated.
The symptoms may resolve but in others persist for up to a few hours.He can consider monitoring for a up to 30 mins to see if it resolves. If it does not or worsens then he should see his doctor as soon as possible.
