Chest congestion is associated with heart and lung causes. I would be able to address your concern better if you can provide some more information such as:

1. How did your symptoms start? - Was it insidious or abrupt in onset?
2. Was it progressing / improved?
3. Any associated symptoms such as cough, breathing difficulty, chest pain, sweating, fever, nasal congestion, swelling of limbs/face, etc.?
4. Anything that precipitated / relieved the symptoms?
5. Any past history of similar symptoms?
6. Previous medical illness or treatment history if any?
7. Lastly your age and gender?
