Suffering From Hair Fall, Back Pain, White Discharge And Shoulder Pain. Treatment And Precaution?
Question: Hi. My question is regarding my wife who is suffering from hair fall, back pain, white discharge, left shoulder pain few days before,during and few days after periods. She is having this problem since our birth of second kid. Any suggestions/precautions/remedies.

The problems you have mentioned may not all be related.
1. White discharge may be normal or abnormal.Clear mucus like discharge is normal in certain phases of the cycle.If the discharge is thick,curdy white odour,then infection is the cause.She will require antibiotics.
2.Hair fall also has different causes.Hormonal imbalance is a common cause so that needs to be ruled out first.Dietary deficiency needs to be corrected. Multivitamins with mineral will help. Local causes like scalp infection,dandruff etc need to be ruled out as a cause.
3. Back pain also may occur right before periods. But if she has had abdominal surgery before,pain may occur on and off. Using the correct mattress/pillow helps. Physiotherapy will also help along with hot fomentation thrice a day.
Posture is very important,esp if her job entails long hrs in a chair. Xray LS spine can rule out disc prolapse. At 27, thats unlikely but precautions now will help avoid that in the future. Calcium supplements for 6 months.
