Sugest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck And Armpit
Question: My 44 yr. old son has swollen lymph nodes in the neck and arm pit on his left side. No other symptoms except for a small lesion (like an ingrown hair) on his neck. He went to the Dr. and was given 2 different antibiotics. How much time should we give this before we request further studies.
Brief Answer:
2 weeks
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
I suggest you to take antibiotics for one week and see if the size of lymph nodes reduce or remain same size. If size is regressing then continue antibiotics for one more week.
If size remains same or increases then you can discuss for needle biopsy with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. If any further query is there i would be happy to help you.
